great valueMar 08, 2010 i was originally looking for a hard cover for top of my honda pilot for family road trip last summer. but they are expensive. i found this and the price is great and since I'll only be using it a few time a year, i think it's a great value. a little difficult to load though. found it easier to just load stuff after it's installed on the car. another thing you'll want to do is find a way to secure the hanging straps, else will drive you nuts while flapping on the highway. definitely well worth the money though. i hope to use if for many many years.
Solid Build Cargo CarrierMar 08, 2010 I got this carrier to replace a old no name brand $25 cargo bag I was using.
The Quest is smaller than my current one but I wanted something smaller, the other one I have is huge. Wind drag is a factor for me and mileage. This is more aerodynamic looking hopefully it will make a difference.
I opened the box and I love it has its own carry bag wrapped up inside. I took it out and made sure I watched how it unfolded so I can put it back in. I shoved 4 sleeping bags inside and a few other things and it all fit nicely. The build of the Quest seems sturdy as well. I put it on top of my Jeep and attached it to my Thule X-Bars to see how it would go on and the only thing I could of wished for was some side straps like my other one had but I do not think this will be a problem.
I let it sit in the rain and checked it afterwards and there was hardly any moisture inside. Granted I have not taken this on any trips yet but I can tell I will be very happy with this cargo bag.

Versatile and SecureFeb 06, 2010 We used this cargo bag to travel about 1600 miles in a Honda Civic. Packing it was easy and efficient. The Quest stayed put on the roof securely using aftermarket strap-on bar racks. It did slide a little in 40+mph cross winds but stayed firmly on the roof.
We took it off the roof of the car twice for overnight hotel stays and, although it was heavily loaded, it was actually quite easy to move.
I think the Quest cost us 5-8mpg gas mileage in the Civic.
There was no visible wear or damage to the Quest after our trip.
Overall, I am very impressed with this product and am happy to have purchased it. We did not test the water-resistance of this product, but had everything packed in plastic bags.

Great product!Nov 21, 2009 This is a great product and is desribed accurately in product description. It is easy to pack and install and is great for big stuff that can just go on top of the car. We use it for camping and pack all the sleeping bags and pillows and big/soft bulky stuff. The only draw back is that it is not waterproof..which it clearly states in the description. We just used it on a rainy day and packed everything in those big XXXL Ziploc bags and it worked fine! So it's a big thumbs up, but plan your weather well or pack the stuff in large bags on the inside. We love it! Very simple and GREAT for the price!

Great Product - Rooftop cargo bagOct 28, 2009 This is a fantastic product. I believe it was a great purchase. The shipping and packaging were very good. I used it several times. One use was to go on vacation with my family. I installed it on the top of my Subaru and traveled to the beach. We traveled through several hours of rain. Some water was inside the bag but no damage, I did wrap my suitcases in plastic bags before putting them in the cargo bag. This is a very good product.
