4easy to install, but messyFeb 14, 2010
well these chains were easy to use, but you will still get your hands dirty. the carry bag is not water proof, so when you take them off and put them back in the carrying bag. the snow on the chain melts and water leaks through the bag and onto your trunk floor. these chains do work well and are the easiest to install that i have ever used. just make sure you bring trash bags to put the chains in. 4stars because of the carry bag.

5Best. Invention. Ever.Feb 11, 2010
My car sits very low and has hardly any space between the fenders and tires but these fit wonderfully. Simple to install, they do not even touch the rims, and I have not slid once. I have a huge fear about driving in the snow but these definitely eased my mind. The only down side is now I have no excuse to miss work :-)

1These chains should be taken out of the marketJan 19, 2010
The only good thing about this chain is the video on youtube. We used the chain on a minivan during a snow storm, while returning from a ski trip. Chain control was enforced, so we had to use it. First, off the installation instruction are quite worthless. They just came off the wheels after driving for about 12 miles. The minivan went into a bad skid and finally stopped. I have returned the chain back to Amazon and have decided to give the SCC chain a try.

My suggestion to Thule is to take this product out of the market, fix the design flaw and do extensive quality assurance before introducing it again in the market. In my opinion, this is the worst chain money can buy...

On the positive side they do look really cool while the minivan is parked...

1Kept falling offJan 09, 2010
These chains kept falling off, I returned them. Get the kind you have to jack the car up to put on. Granted - more of a hassle but they won't fall off and they are much cheaper.

5Easy to useJan 08, 2010
I don't know that I've driven on them enough to give proper details on durability. I can say that they worked very well on the 8 inches or so of snow I drove on over unpaved roads. And, I did not have to touch dirt or snow with anything but the fingers of my gloves and my boots. They were incredibly easy to install. I did not have to lay on my back or side. I did not have to reach behind the wheel. I got them on in about 1 minute per wheel. They came off in seconds. For the price you'll want to make sure you wash them without delay to keep them in good shape.
