QualityJul 29, 2010 I use these to hold two kayaks and they work great. Easy to install and seem to be very good quality. A perfect solution for storing two kayaks on the garage wall.
Sturdy, but NOT really padded.Jul 09, 2010 I purchased two sets of the Malone J-Dock Hybrid Kayak Racks. They are clearly very sturdy, well-made, and easy to install. For this they get 5 stars. However, be informed that these are not in-fact padded as you might expect. The black areas are a solidly built hard plastic and only the bottom plastic support has a small patch of ridged hard rubber for a small degree of cushioning.
AwesomeJul 03, 2010 This rack totally beats using hooks to hang my kayaks from their ends. It's really easy to load too.
Inexpensive way to store two kayaksJun 21, 2010 We looked all over trying to figure out how to store our newly purchased kayaks. This has been a great solution for us! It was easy to install and easy to get the kayaks into/out of. I have been really pleased with this storage system.
Works well and the price is rightJun 19, 2010 The racks were easy to install. Make sure you have the right size drill bit and pre-drill the holes. The lag screws provided are heavy duty. It helps to have a socket set to install them quickly. I like the fact that they include straps to help hold the kayak in place, in case of something accidentally bumping it or the wind trying to flip it over. I don't use the loops for hanging my other kayak, I just installed another rack underneath it.
