When we recently bought a new bike for my wife, I was disappointed to find it difficult to hang the bike on the 3-bicycle trailer hitch rack we had for our SUV. The slanted cross bar on her ladies bike just wouldn't allow the bike to be properly set and tightened into place in that rack no matter how I tried. This great little item takes only seconds to attach to the bike and makes use of our existing bike rack a cinch. The only thing you need to know and I learned from reading other reviews, is to attach and detach the end with the inner extension tube first so that you don't risk getting your hand pinched in the spring loaded retraction device. Once you get that little detail down, this item is a terrific solution to what was previously a sticky problem. Highly recommend it and I may buy more of them for other family members' bikes.

We ordered two of these for our ladies Schwinn beach cruisers. They work perfectly and now we can load our bikes on the rack and not have them hanging at weird angles. The shipping was SUPER fast. Ordered on Sunday, arrived Tuesday - using the FREE super saver shipping option! I like the cable that connects the cross pin to the bar - keeps you from losing the pin. This bar might be a bit too large for a kid's bike, so be sure to check that out first.
